We opened our restaurant and gourmet store in 2016 with a vision of serving high quality restaurant style food for take out: A slow-food takeaway for busy people that have grown tired of mass produced pizzas and Asian food served in styrofoam. We also offer our guests to dine-in in the beautiful dining/shop area and even to bring their own wines and beers with them, for a small service fee.
Beyond our restaurant, we sell charcuterie, cheeses, sourdough bread olive oil, jams, honeys, tea, spices, chocolate confections, refreshing drinks and a variety of other specialty food items in our store.
Borðið has its own personality and while the food and gourmet food selection will vary, it is all rooted in our passion for tasty and authentic food.
Tuesday to Friday, breakfast from 7:45 to 10:00am, lunch from 11:30 am to 2 pm & dinner from 5 to 8pm
Saturday and Sunday, brunch from 11:3o am to 3pm and dinner from 5 to 8 pm.
We change our menu each month but it is always composed of four or five courses, where meat lovers, fish enthusiasts, vegetarians and kids will all find something to their taste. We are a Nordic cuisine influenced by Mediterranean flavors but we are not restricted by any boundaries.
During weekdays, we offer delicious breakfast where you can enjoy a toast with toppings of your choice, Bruffin and newly baked cinnamon buns. Lunch composed of the dish of the day, the salad of the day and sandwiches with freshly cut charcuterie and pickled vegetables. During the evening the weekday menu takes over and during the weekends, we offer a very different brunch experience and dinner between 5 and 8pm, see menu below.
In addition to our amazing food, we are known for our pastries and desserts, hand made at our premises every single day by our American and French pastry chefs. You can enjoy our desserts all day long with a nice cup of cappuccino or americano.
